According to the Extraordinary Gazetteof Uttar Pradesh,May17, 2016; The University (Uttar Pradesh University of Medical Sciences) consists of five faculties: Medical, Dental, Paramedical, Nursing and Pharmaceutical Sciences. In addition to the Medicine, Allied Health, Nursing and Pharmacy courses, the university also offers MD/MS/MDS and M.Ch.at. in various specializations and super specialization courses in medicine.
The university also conducts graduate studies in the faculties of dentistry,pharmacy,nursing and allied health.The university also offers graduate nursing and emergency medicine programs affiliated with Lucknow State Medical School. The university currently has over 250 professors in various departments. The academic departments are dedicated to teaching, training, patient care and research and have as tate-of-the-artinfrastructure.
The university has a full-fledged 1,050-bedtertiary hospital and a150-bedwoundandburnscenter.For optimal healthcare,the non-academic support areas of various services such as paramedicalservices, hospital services, engineeringservices, ministerial secretariats, etc. makethe best contribution, thus ensuring the management of the patient’s care services.
