Pandiyan Roadways Corporation Ltd, (now Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation (Madurai) Ltd, Madurai District, came into being from 17.1.1972 in connection with nationalization of private buses. Under the Act of 1971. A fleet of 3 6 buses, depots and employees were removed from there M/s Southern Roadways Private Ltd, Madurai. This company was incorporated under the Limited Companies Act to ensure effective decentralization and better possession of.
On 01.01.197 , 106 buses plying in Thirunelveli area and Kattabomman were moved Transport Corporation (now TNSTC (Madurai) Ltd, Thirunelveli District) came into being. Nagarcoil for headquarters. In addition, 62 buses were handed over to M/s Cholan Roadways Corporation Ltd. (now TNSTC (Kumbakonam) Ltd, Kumbakonam District) which originated from Kumbakonam. Headquarters from 1.7.7 . Rani Mangammal Transport Corporation Ltd (now TNSTC (Madurai) Ltd, Dindugal District) 0 /01/1986 which started operations with headquarters in Dindugal covering part of the operational area Madurai district and west of Dindugal-Periyakulam-Kumuli road and entire Dindugal district.
The board is intensifying the activities planned for the transfer of the Aruppukot branch, which was taken over by M/s Maruthu Pandiyar Transport Corporation Ltd along with buses on 01.0 .91, (now TNSTC (Kumbakonam) Ltd, Karaikudi District) and with its transfer the entire Virudhunagar The area was under the jurisdiction of this company.
Again, when the fleet was 12 9, the company was divided as per G.O MS No. 100 dated 29.0 .1997 and the new company started operations in the name of M/s Veeran Sundaralingam Transport Corporation Ltd, (now TNSTC (Madurai) Ltd, Virudhunagar District) headquartered at Virudhunagar 352 buses from 1.5.97. Pandiyan Roadways Corporation Ltd was later renamed Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation (Madurai Dvi I) LTD.
