About AMD Recruitment 2022: Atomic Minerals Directorate for Exploration and Research
The premium mandate of the Atomic Minerals Directorate for Exploration and Research is to recognise and evaluate uranium resources required for the triumphant implementation of the nation’s atomic energy programme.
Investigative tasks are taken up across the length and scope of the country by the Regional Exploration and Research Centres found at New Delhi, Bengaluru, Jamshedpur, Shillong, Jaipur, Nagpur, and Hyderabad (Headquarters & South Central Region). The Directorate presently utilises the latest technology, viz.

Time domain electromagnetic system with gamma-ray spectrometer and magnetometer for aerial geophysical surveys and multidisciplinary field processes such as geological, geophysical, and geochemical surveys on regional and elaborate scales, as well as drilling exercises using state-of-the-art hydrostatic rigs.
The laboratories, to support the area examinations, are equally well prepared with the latest facilities viz. Mineralogy, Petrology, Geochronology Group with WDXRF, EPMA, and Chemistry Group with ICP-OES, ICP-MS, and these labs have newly acquired SX 100 EPMA, EDXRF, and TIMS.
The Directorate also has beach sands and offshore, rare metal and rare earth experimentations groups, and very well-equipped physics and instrumentation groups.
