Central Warehousing Corporation is a body established under the Warehousing Corporation Act, 1962. It is a public warehouse manager established by the Government of India in 1957 to provide logistics to the agricultural sector. It has 22 warehouses across India with a storage capacity of 10 million tonnes. Services include food grain warehouses, industrial warehouses, custom bonded warehouses, container terminals, inland bonded warehouses and air cargo complexes.

CWC facilitates the transportation of import and export goods to and from port cities and has developed infrastructure for container terminals and inland warehouses across the country. The company operates 36 CFS/ICDs that provide combined services for container import/export.
