The RAC’s Recruitment and Assessment Center, DRDO was established on July 23, 1985 after receiving an exemption from the Union Civil Service Commission (UPSC). It is located at Lucknow Road, Timarpur, Delhi. RAC ran various recruitment programs each year to introduce scientists to the various scientific and technical disciplines relevant to DRDO laboratories and evaluated the ability of DRDO scientists to advance through properly formed peer review committees.
