Karnataka Bank Limited is an Indian private sector bank headquartered in Mangalore. It is a Class A commercial bank with 901 branches, 1187 ATMs and cash recyclers and 586 e-lobbies/small e-lobbies in 22 states and 2 union territories. It has 8,652 employees and more than 11 million customers across the country. Its shares are listed on NSE and BSE. The bank’s slogan is “Your family bank in India”.

Karnataka Bank Limited has launched core banking, internet banking and set up MoneyPlant ATM system (1187 ATMs and cash recyclers and 586 e-lobis/small e-lobis) across the country. History Karnataka Bank Limited was incorporated on 18 February 192 and commenced operations on 23 May 192 . It was established by its founders in Mangalore, a coastal city in the Dakshina Kannada district of Karnataka.

Among the founders who started the bank to serve the South Canara region was B. R. Vysaray Achar.[ ] K. Suryanarayana Adiga was the president from 1958 to 1979.[ ] In the 1960s, Karnataka Bank Limited acquired three smaller banks. In 1960, Karnataka Bank Limited acquired Sharada Bank of Sringeri, which was established in 19 2 and had four branches. Four years later, Karnataka Bank Limited took over Chitradurga Bank (also known as Chitladurg Bank), which was established in 1868 and was the oldest bank in the state of Mysore. In 1966, Bank of Karnataka was taken over by Karnataka Bank Limited.

Bank of Karnataka was established in 19 6 and opened one branch in 19 7 at Belgaum. At the time of acquisition, Bank of Karnataka had 13 branches. In September 2003, the bank shifted its headquarters from Kodialbail to Kankanady. In Karnataka, the bank informed the Reserve Bank of India about a Rs 285 crore fraud involving DHFL, Religare Finvest, Fedders Electric and Engineering Ltd and Leel Electricals Ltd . In 2021, Karnataka Bank Limited divested its wholly owned non-financial subsidiary KBL Services Limited with its registered office in Bangalore.
