About Kashmir University Recruitment 2023 – 295 Contractual Lecturer Job Vacancy Apply Online

Jammu and Kashmir University was founded in 1948. In 1969 it was split into two comprehensive universities: Srinagar University of Kashmir and Jammu University of Jammu. Kashmir University is located in Hazratbal, Srinagar. It is surrounded by the famous Dal Lake to the east and Nigeen Lake to the west.

The university’s main campus covers 247 hectares of land and is divided into three sections: Hazratbal Campus, Naseem Bagh Campus and Mirza Bagh Campus (for residential use).Additional land was purchased in Zakur near the main campus to further expand the university. The calm atmosphere of the campus offers the right atmosphere for serious study and research.

The University of Kashmir has grown tremendously over the years. It has established outer campuses in Anantnag (South Campus) and Baramulla (North Campus), and three other outer campuses in Kupwara, Kargil and Leh have been established to make higher education more accessible to people living in remote areas of the Kashmir Valley.

The university has also established a branch in Jammu to meet the needs of applicants enrolled at the university from outside of Kashmir.
