Parbhani, formerly known as “Prabhavatinagar”, is one of eight districts of the Marathwada region of Maharashtra. , The entire Marathwada Region, a geographic district, was part of the former Nizam State. later part of Hyderabad State; after state reorganization in 1956, it became part of Bombay State; and since 1960 it has been part of what is now the state of Maharashtra.

The state capital, Mumbai, is to the west; Parbhani is well connected by road to other major cities in Maharashtra and the neighboring state of Andhra Pradesh. The beginning of Gariaband district begins with the ancient Rajim temples.In an important religious and historical quarter and at the confluence of Mahanadi, Parry and Sodhur, “Rajim” is an important ancient city.

The temple is famous for its magnificent Vishnu Temple. The Kuleshwar Temple has a worship hall and a porch. The temple cella is open to the vestibule, a narrow space, the columns are arranged in two rows. The temple was built in the 14th or 15th century.A group of several temples in the city which includes the Rajiv Lochan Temple. The Queen’s prestigious four-sided main statue is Vishnu and bears all the usual insignia.

Inside the temple there are two inscriptions from different eras on the wall, one probably from the 8th or 9th century. Rajiv Lochan Temple is surrounded by seven magnificent and sacred temples. It’s relatively modern.The Rajiv Lochan Temple stands on a platform 18 meters long, 8 meters wide and 2.5 meters high, while the temple pavilion is 12 meters long and 5 meters wide. In addition, there are Rajeshwar Temple, Daneshwar Temple, Jagannath Temple and Ram Temple.
