National Institute of Ocean Technology (NIOT), Chennai, an autonomous body under the Ministry of Geosciences , Government. India works with the overarching goal of promoting technological development in various mission mode activities in the field of marine engineering and marine resource exploitation.

The Institute invites online applications via the link at https://www.niot.res.w (based on direct recruitment) for the following positions from talented and dedicated Indian nationals with the required qualifications. If the number of applications received in response to Notice is large, it will be impractical or impossible to interview all candidates.

Accordingly, NIOT may limit the number of candidates invited for interviews to what is reasonable by adopting one or more appropriate criteria, such as: B. Passes for training, higher education, several years of relevant industry experience. The criteria for shortlisting the applications are determined by the committee responsible for evaluating the applications, based on the number of applications received.

Approximately If an applicant’s merits are listed on the CGPA senior year grade transcript without a indicating the corresponding grade percentage, NIOT follows the criteria established by the College/Institute in the grade transcript/certificate presented by the candidate, if they exist to get the correct percentage of .In all other cases, NIOT uses the GPA conversion formula (as found on the previous year’s grade sheet) multiplied by (x) 9.5.

Notes: – The experience declared by the candidate is only counted from the date the candidate has achieved the minimum education required for that position. A doctorate in a specific field counts as three years of professional experience. However, this additional weight of 3 years of experience is not granted if the doctoral degree is obtained at the same time as an employment or research activity already included in the experience
