However, the Rescue Service received its formal legal status in 1968 with the Civil Defense Act, which came into force throughout the country on July 10, 1968. It works in close cooperation with the State Fire Service, as both organizations work under it. unified command and control. The director general of home defense and the fire chief vide GO No.187/CD Dt.02.01.2018 coordinated the activities of the district judges and civil protection officers of all districts as the director of the rescue service.
