State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), Delhi, is an autonomous agency of the Government of Delhi. It is a National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) recognized central agency for the acceptance, curriculum design, course delivery, hosting, testing and certification of educational programs in the field of pre-primary and elementary school teacher education.

SCERT also oversees and provides the necessary guidance for the effective functioning of 9 DIET in Delhi, which also runs a two-year diploma course in primary school teacher training, among other activities. For more than twenty years, SCERT has made a significant contribution to school education in general and teacher training in particular.

As of June 2011, SCERT has been collaborating with 9 District Education and Training Institutions (DIET), 21 accredited private institutions offering a two-year full-time diploma program in primary teacher education and 30 accredited private institutions offering a two-year diploma program. in full-time Early Childhood Education and Care, in various districts of Delhi with a total annual intake of 4,150.
