About UPSSSC Recruitment 2023 – 1468 Gram Panchayat Officer Apply Online IndGovtjobs.net
Initially, the State Government of Uttar Pradesh established a Subordinate Services Selection Board through an Ordinance in 1988 which was later on replaced by an act No.7 of 1988, for direct recruitment to all such group ‘C’ posts as may be specified by the State Government by notification in this behalf.
,The Board was also allowed to consider the request of any authority, Government Company or Corporation, owned or controlled by the Government for such recruitment to posts thereunder. The Board had a corporate entity separate from the Government.
Subsequently in 1990 on 31st May above Board was dissolved and converted in to a Commission with a Chairman and maximum of five members.Also, the Uttar Pradesh Sub-Services Selection Commission (Amendment) Act 1993 was enacted to establish/amend the terms of service of the Commission Chair and Members.
With this change, the committee was transformed into a government department. In 1997, on December 28, the above law was repealed by decree and subsequently replaced by Law No. .P. Law n. 1 of 2006. However, this law was amended by the U.P. raised up.Regulation No. 6 of 2007 followed by Act No. the Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Service Selection Committees Act 2014 which came into force on 20 June 2014. Following the resignation of the then Chair and five of its members on April 6, 2017, the current Committee was appointed and former Chair and members later joined the Committee’s composition in mid-January 2018.
